Route to qualification
We begin with the Word Processing module and end with the Basic concepts of IT one. The other modules can be completed in the order that best suits you.
What happens next?
When you begin the course we will send you a training manual and a set of exercises on Word Processing.
You will work through the training manual and complete the set of exercises at home – as you are working through the materials you can contact us through email or by telephone with any questions you may have.
Arranging the examinations
When you have completed the manual and the exercises, and we have checked them, we will arrange a time for you to come into the University to sit a pre-test assessment and (hopefully) the actual test.
Depending on the score you get in the pre-test assessment will determine whether you will sit the actual test. In our experience if someone completes the exercises and the manual successfully they should be successfull.
All assessments and tests are done online in the University.
A pre-test assessment lasts for a maximum of 75 minutes and an actual ECDL test lasts for a maximum of 45 minutes
And Finally.....
After sitting (and passing) the Word Processing module we will issue you with the training manual and exercises for the next one. The same process is applied for all modules.
