The Glasgow University Project Management (GUPM Methodology) is a pared down version of the PRINCE2 project management model.  It requires less formal documentation and integrates with University procedures to provide a robust mechanism for the management of projects.  We’ve also included a section on the PRINCE2 methodology should you wish to obtain more detail and background.

We hope that you find the site a useful guide to how projects are funded and run within the University and that the examples and templates are helpful and give you a feel for the information that needs to be captured.  Project Management shouldn't be about producing documents, it's about taking a common sense structured approach to delivering a product.  Please remember that the Project Office is here to support you so if you want to discuss or get advice on any aspect of your project please get in touch.
