I was an apprentice then legal assistant with Bishop Milne Boyd and Co. (now represented by Bishops) Solicitors, Glasgow until 1971, left to join Ballantyne & Copland Solicitors, Motherwell and East Kilbride and was a partner there until 2001, when I left to join Harper Macleod as a partner in October 2001.
