Visiting Scholars

The School of Law is happy to act as host to visiting scholars who wish to pursue research.  We are normally able to provide a room, a telephone, computing equipment, library privileges, and a limited amount of secretarial support.  In exchange, we expect visitors to make some sort of contribution to the life of the School, for example by offering occasional seminars to staff or students.

Applications for visiting scholar status should be sent to the Head of Department, Professor Tom Mullen.  You should include:

  • A copy of your Curriculum Vitae
  • Details of when you would like to be in Glasgow
  • Details of your research plans

Please apply at least six months in advance, as the number of rooms we have available may be limited.  If you need any assistance in finding accommodation in Glasgow, the University provides a Residential Service.  Details may be found on their web page.
