By car
If you are travelling east to west along the M8 motorway, take the exit at Junction 17 (Charing Cross exit).
Follow the sliproad to a set of traffic lights at the Sauchiehall Street intersection. Go straight through at these lights (do not turn right onto Sauchiehall Street as it is one way), and the next set of lights at the Bath Street intersection. The second intersection is at St Vincent Street. Turn right at this set of traffic lights and follow all signs directing you to the Kelvin Hall, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum or the Western Infirmary.
St Vincent Street merges to become Argyle Street and then Dumbarton Road as you approach the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum (see map above). Follow the road, past The Kelvin Hall. The Centre is one block along on your left. We are based in the Group 4 Building and you will see the CDMR sign above the door. Please press the intercom system to the right of the door and you will gain access to the building.
By train
If planning to travel from either Queen Street or Central rail stations in the centre of Glasgow, head for the low-level local train services below either of the two main inter-city train stations. Ask for a single or return ticket, current fare is around 2.5 GBP for a single ticket and 3.5 GBP for a return ticket (GBP = Great Britain Pounds), to Partick station.
On exiting Partick station, walk past the local bus service stances (unfortunately these bus stances are for people travelling west). Head towards the main road (Dumbarton Road), turn right and walk along Dumbarton Road to the Centre. This should take approximately 10-15 minutes. We are located inside the Group 4 building, just across the road from the two fat ladies fish restaurant.
Alternatively, there are bus stops on the other side of Dumbarton Road heading east back into the city centre. Any bus, except the 89 and 8 services, will pass the Centre. The journey should take less than 5 minutes. Get off at the bus stop immediately after the traffic lights at Partick Cross and you will see the Centre just across the road in the Group 4 building next door to the 'Live Again' charity shop. The buses only take the exact fare (around 0.85 GBP), so have 1 GBP of loose change to hand.
By underground / subway
Locate the nearest underground station, (look for the U symbol on the map, marked Kelvinhall). Get off at Kelvinhall and turn right down alleyway to Dumbarton Road, then turn left and follow Dumbarton Road for about 200 metres. Cross diagonally at Partick Cross traffic lights and walk along for about 300 metres until you reach the Group 4 building.
By bus
First Bus operate a number of services which travel along Dumbarton Road. (Get off at the stop just past the Kelvin Hall and directly opposite the Dumbarton Road Gate for the University and the entrance to the Western Infirmary. We are one block along from this bus stop in the old Group 4 building (opposite the two fat ladies fish restaurant). If travelling from the opposite direction get off at the stop immediately after Partick Cross traffic lights, which is almost directly outside the two fat ladies restaurant, across from the Centre. The services which stop here are Nos 9, 16, 42, 62, and 64.
